Important Changes to NPS Group Reservations
Jan. 29, 2007 – The National Park Service and ReserveAmerica have announced a new group tour reservation system effective Feb. 7, 2007. Click here for comprehensive and important information on the Park Service reservation system, outlined in a letter from Diane Labrozzi at ReserveAmerica.
Among the changes, group tour reservations will now be available via the National Recreation Reservation Service, using a specific toll-free number for Group Sales. The number is 877.559.6777, and it will provide you access to a group of dedicated sales agents to assist you in booking your tours, Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST.
Please note, NTA has learned that the Washington Monument, Independence Hall, Roosevelt Vanderbilt, and the Frederick Douglass Home will be the first sites to go online on the Feb. 7 deadline.
Other changes have been made to purchasing methods, tour names, and tickets. Please read the letter for complete details.
NTA has been working closely with ReserveAmerica for more than five years. Earlier this month, NTA Government Relations Committee Chair Tom Armstrong, NTA Legislative Counsel Jim Santini, NTA Vice Chairman Bob Hoelscher and NTA Director of Government and Industry Relations Matt Grayson met with Rick DeLappe, the reservation program manager of NPS, to guarantee an equitable and reasonable policy.
The parties involved feel these changes will improve the reservation experience for group sales. Your questions and suggestions are welcomed by NTA on this vital issue of doing business with the national parks.
