Hurricane Katrina: Emergency Need for Housing
Sept. 2, 2005 – According to Angele Davis, secretary of the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, there is an emergency need for housing for evacuees. The Astrodome in Houston is full, and they are looking for anyone with housing of any kind. There is also a need for air service into New Orleans for evacuation purposes.
