Happy Cinco De Mayo!
May 5, 2005 – The holiday Cinco De Mayo, The 5th Of May, commemorates the victory of the Mexicans over the French army at The Battle Of Puebla in 1862. It is not, as many often mistake it, Mexico’s Independence Day, which is Sept. 16. Cinco De Mayo is most prevalently commemorated in Mexico and the United States and is a celebration of Mexican culture, food, music, beverage and customs unique to Mexico.
