
Egypt Exults—Travel to Resume?

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has resigned, Vice President Omar Suleiman announced on live television Friday. After hearing the statement, protesters turned into celebrants.
With the latest development, NTA President Lisa Simon is hopeful for a return to stability in the region. "We have been closely monitoring the situation," said Simon. "Egypt is a gateway for travel to the Middle East, and we’re eager for travel to reopen. There are cultural and religious treasures the world wants to see in Egypt, Jordan, Israel and the Palestine territories."
