Cruise Passenger Travel Increases in Second Quarter 2003
The U.S. Maritime Administration released the latest cruise data this week, indicating ships transported two million passengers in second quarter 2003, an increase of seven percent over the same time period last year.

According to a release issued by the U.S. Maritime Administration, the first two quarters combined in 2003 show a nine percent growth over the same time period in 2002. Miami is still the largest departure port, accounting for 23 percent of the total cruise line traffic. The most popular destination for cruising is still the western Caribbean, with Alaska moving into second place.
