"50 States in 50 Days" Kicks Off at The Red Lion Inn
Sept. 11, 2008 – To present a truly national look at the 2008 U.S. election, ABC’s "Good Morning America" is going on the road leading up to Nov. 4 as part of its "50 States in 50 Days" initiative. Over the course of the next two months, reporters and correspondents from ABC News and USA Today will visit each state and provide a local perspective on this year’s historic election.

"We’re going to look at the election from the point of view of the voters and citizens," ABC News President David Westin said in a press conference earlier this week.

The first broadcast of "50 States in 50 Days" will take place Monday, Sept. 15. The show will originate from the porch of NTA member The Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. The broadcast will include conversations with people from the Berkshires area, as will live performances by singer James Taylor and cellist Yo Yo Ma.
