2004 NTA Board of Directors Announced
November 26, 2003 – Mitch Sussman, CTP, with Starr Tours in Trenton, N.J., will serve as chairman of the 2004 NTA Board of Directors. Other board officers are Ann Thomas, CTP, with Western Discovery LLC in Reno, Nev., vice chair; Judith Thomas, CTP, with Unlimited Tours & Travel Inc. in St. Louis, Mo., treasurer; and Randy Julian with Julian Tours in Alexandria, Va., secretary.

Also serving on the Executive Committee will be Barbara Bowman with Grand Junction Visitor & Convention Bureau in Grand Junction, Colo., DMO representative; Bob Hofmann with Broadway Inbound in New York, N.Y., tour supplier representative; and Charlie McIlvain, CTP, with Idle Time Tours Inc. in Dallas/Fort Worth, immediate past chairman.

Tour operator directors elected to two-year terms are Martin Elson with Biss Tours Inc. in Rego Park, N.Y. and Parker Tours Inc. in Plainview, N.Y.; Mark Hoffmann, CTP, with Sports Leisure Vacations in Sacramento, Calif.; and Laurie Lincoln, CTP, with Main Street Tours Inc. in Torrance, Calif.

Returning to serve a second year on the board as tour operator directors are Bob Hoelscher, CTP, with Flemming Tours in Cedar City, Utah; Jim Reddekopp Jr. with Fly Away Holidays in Kailua, Hawaii; and Dave Snyder, CTP, with Travel Adventures Inc. in Lapeer, Mich.

Elected to serve two-year terms on the board are Cindy Brown with Boston Duck Tours in Boston, tour supplier representative; and Judy Renfroe with Cobb County Convention & Visitors Bureau in Atlanta, DMO representative.

Appointed by Sussman to serve as directors at large are Susan Iris with Canadian Tourism Commission in Washington, D.C.; Nancy Jepson with Globus/Cosmos in Littleton, Colo. and Phil Otterson with Tauck World Discovery in Norwalk, Conn.

Roland Kreps, chairman of the National Tourism Foundation Board of Trustees, will serve as an ex-officio board member.
