Central Park Event to Impact Motorcoach Travel
July 7, 2008 – On Saturday, July 12, Major League Baseball will host the All Star Concert in Central Park. Large crowds are expected throughout the day beginning at 6 a.m. Specific sections of the Park will be closed to the general public at 11 a.m. or earlier depending on crowd size. Access to Strawberry Fields, a frequent stop on NYC motorcoach tours, will be extremely difficult. Central Park Conservancy recommends that tour operators reroute any planned trips away from Strawberry Fields on this day.
