Tonya Littlefield Cummings
Director, Communication and Marketing

About my travel photo
My family loves the Caribbean. My daughter Lilly and I went swimming with the stingrays in Antiqua.
I’ve been with NTA …
I started with NTA as Director of Communications in 2001, just a month before September 11 and held various leadership positions until 2010. I returned to NTA in 2026 as the Director of Communication and Marketing.
What I do at NTA
I am responsible for making sure our members have all the information they need about NTA and the packaged travel industry -- whether it be through online publications, social media, or onsite at our various conferences and meetings.
My education
I graduated from St. Bonaventure University (New York) with a master’s degree in English and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.
A travel memory
I am not a fan of cold weather, but my husband talked me into visiting Jackson Hole, Wyoming, in December, and we had the most magical horse-drawn sled ride out to watch a heard of elk graze in a beautiful valley in the Grand Tetons.
An interesting fact
My first job out of college was as a cops and courts reporter outside Washington, D.C., and I participated in a legit drug raid with DEA officers. I have the photo to prove it.
