The U.S. Department of Commerce announced the states and territories that most benefitted from overseas travelers to the United States. In 2010 overseas arrivals to the United States posted an 11 percent increase compared to 2009. 2010 reflected a dramatic reversal of 2009’s visitation decline, and most states and cities posting significant increases in 2010.
Here are the top 10 states and territories, with the change from 2009 to 2010:
1. New York +8%
2. Florida +10%

4. Nevada +32%
5. Hawaii +15%
6. Guam +16%
7. Massachusetts +3%
8. Illinois +2%
9. Texas +14%
10. New Jersey +5%
