(3/11/2010) - The Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India has selected NTA Chairman and CEO Cathy Greteman as a presenter for its upcoming Convention 2010 on domestic tourism. As a tour operator and motorcoach charter company owner in the United States, Greteman will bring 25 years experience in travel and tourism to the ADTOI conference attendees.
(3/5/2010) - LEXINGTON, Ky. - NTA Secretary/Treasurer Nick Calderazzo of RMP Travel has been appointed to the U.S. Travel and Tourism Advisory Board, which serves to advise and develop plans for the Obama administration on issues of travel and tourism. A 33 year travel veteran, Calderazzo has actively served the travel industry through volunteer work including his current spot on the NTA Board of Directors and will become NTA chairman and CEO in 2012.
(3/1/2010) - Washington, D.C. - Representative Sam Farr (D-California), co-chair of the Congressional Travel and Tourism Caucus, has introduced H. R. 4676, the Travel Regional Investment Partnership (TRIP) Act, which will provide US$50 million in matching grants to destination marketing organizations and their strategic partners.
